Munich's medieval old town

From Munich's beginnings in 1158 under Duke Henry the Lion to the modern history of National Socialism, Munich's city center has a lot to offer.
Where is the grave of Napoleon's stepson? Why is there a cannonball in the wall of St. Peter's Church? Where did Hitler found his party? And what is so special about the Viktualienmarkt.

These and other questions will be answered on the tour.

Maxvorstadt
heart and brain of Munich

Maxvorstadt is Munich’s cultural and intellectual heart, blending history, art, and academia in a compact and vibrant district. Home to Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), it also holds the Weiße Rose Memorial, honoring the student resistance against the Nazi regime. The stunning Ludwigskirche features one of the largest altar frescoes in the world, while iconic spots like Alter Simpl, the birthplace of Dadaism.
Maxvorstadt is a district where Munich’s vibrant past and present converge, offering a rich tapestry of stories and sights to discover.

Christmas market tour

Join me in exploring the magic of Munich’s Christmas markets! We’ll start at the iconic Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz, then discover the artistic Schwabinger Christmas Market, the historic Medieval Market, and the vibrant Pink Christmas in Glockenbachviertel. We’ll also visit the cozy Mondscheinexpress at Bahnwärter Thiel before ending at Winter Tollwood, a cultural winter wonderland.

This tour isn’t about a fixed itinerary—it’s about soaking in the festive spirit! I’ll highlight unique traditions and German Christmas treats, and we can adjust our route as we go.

Daytrip to Augsburg

Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities, blends history, culture, and striking Renaissance architecture. Founded over 2,000 years ago, it was a key trading hub. Highlights include the Fuggerei—established in 1521 by Jakob Fugger the Rich, where residents still pay just one Rhenish guilder (about 0.88 euros) per year. This hidden gem is perfect for a day trip or weekend escape, and I can tailor the tour to your interests.

Airport-layover tour Freising

Freising, one of Bavaria’s oldest towns, is just 20 minutes from Munich Airport! Explore the historic Freising Cathedral with its Rubens altarpiece, stroll through the medieval old town, and visit Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery. Relax in its beautiful gardens or explore the Diözesan Museum’s impressive church art collection. This tour is fully customizable—extend your visit with museum stops or a beer garden break. Just ask!
